3B District Court
The District Court is a court of limited jurisdiction where all criminal cases are initiated.
Please Note: No clerk is permitted to give legal advice.
Weapons-Free Facility
The 3B District Court is a weapons-free court. No weapons are permitted, including for CCW permit holders. All persons and packages are subject to search.
ADA Accomodations
If you require special accommodations for hearing, sight, or disability, please notify the court in advance so arrangements can be made.
Courts Division
Criminal Division
Handles major traffic and misdemeanor offenses, felony charges, and conservation or animal violations. Most cases require a personal appearance.
Failure to appear as required may result in the issuance of a bench warrant.
Traffic Division
Responsible for traffic civil infractions and minor traffic misdemeanor offenses. Users may pay preset fines or schedule informal hearings with the Traffic Clerk.
Civil Division
Processed civil suits (up to $25,000), small claims (up to $7,000), landlord-tenant disputes, and land contract cases.
Probation Division
Manages individuals sentenced to probation, requiring regular reporting to a Probation Officer for specified periods of time.
