Accounting Department Policies
- Court Order Integrity: Our department enters information exactly as written in the legal document signed by the Judge. Charges cannot be adjusted manually by staff.
- Monthly Billing Cycle: By law, all court orders now charge on a monthly basis. This ensures consistent tracking of support and arrearages.
- Certification: If a custodian receives welfare benefits (TANF), support is “Certified” and redirected to the State of Michigan until benefits stop.
