CENTREVILLE, MI – St. Joseph County has officially issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for professional janitorial services at the Three Rivers Courts Building. The county is looking for a reliable, high-quality vendor to maintain the facility located at 920 W. Michigan Avenue.
Local cleaning companies and contractors with experience in government or high-security environments are encouraged to apply.
Facility at a Glance
The contract covers a comprehensive range of spaces within the Three Rivers facility, including:
- Legal Spaces: 1 Courtroom, Judge’s Chambers, and Jury Room.
- Office & Admin: 35 Offices and 4 Conference Rooms.
- Public Areas: 3 Waiting Areas, Entry/Security, and Hallways.
- Amenities: 12 Restrooms, a Breakroom, and 2 Holding Cells.
Service Requirements
The primary scope includes daily cleaning tasks such as disinfecting high-touch surfaces, floor care, and restroom sanitation. Because this is a court environment, the county emphasizes the need for:
- Confidentiality: Strict adherence to court privacy and security.
- After-Hours Work: Cleaning typically takes place after court hours.
- Professional Conduct: Clear background checks and professional standards for all staff.
Submission Details
The county is requesting pricing for both 5-day-a-week and 3-day-a-week service schedules. Vendors must provide proof of liability insurance and at least two professional references.
