Do you have a passion for your community? Have you ever wanted to play a bigger part in shaping the future of St. Joseph County? The Board of Commissioners is looking for enthusiastic residents like you to bring fresh ideas and a helping hand to our local advisory boards and committees!
Serving on a board is a wonderful way to give back. It is an opportunity to share your unique talents, meet fellow neighbors who care about our home, and ensure our county remains a vibrant place to live, work, and grow. Whether you are interested in parks, planning, or public health, your perspective is a valuable gift to our community.
How You Can Get Involved

A Quick Note for Volunteers
We are so grateful for every resident who steps forward to serve. Please keep in mind that some boards require special professional backgrounds or specific qualifications to ensure we meet state guidelines. While not every board has an opening for a citizen member right now, we encourage you to check back often!
