Overview

The SJCBRA focuses on supporting the redevelopment of brownfield sites to foster job creation and leverage investment. Brownfield sites are properties where reuse is complicated by hazardous substances or contamination.

Funding Tools

Contact the authority for application details on these resources:

Success Story: Clark Logic

Three Rivers, Michigan

Facilitated the construction of a new *40,000 square foot warehouse, leveraging *$1.5 million in private investment.

The site was eligible for a Brownfield Plan due to historical contamination. The SJCBRA developed a plan to capture tax increment revenue, reimbursing the cost for building demolition and asbestos abatement.
